Stefano Corcella was born
in Milan in 1971 and lived there until 1995, later from 2001 until
2006. Stefano has studied Visual Communication at the I.T.S.O.S.
High School in Milan from 1985 until 1992. During the academic
years 1999/2002 he has attended the 3 years BA Photography course
at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. In 2002 Stefano won the
Metro Students Award. It is the most prestigious award for graduating
students all over U.K.
From 1992 until 2006 he has been working as a professional free
lance assistant for Conde’ Nast and other editors as well
as for diverse worldwide known photographers as Michel Comte,
Steve McCurry, Albert Watson, William Claxton, Roxanne Lowit,
Salvo Galano, Carlo Valsecchi and others. Between 1995 and 2000
Stefano has been working for periods as chief photographer on
board of cruise ships.
After graduating in 2002 Stefano began to work as a photographer
in Italy.
His interest in knowing other cultures made Stefano move from
his hometown in 1995. In 1998 he moved to Norway and lived there
for almost a year. In 1999 he flew to England to study photography.
After graduation Stefano returned to Italy until the end of 2006.
Good life events made him move, at the very begin of 2007, to
Puerto Rico.
Since winter 2010, Stefano is developing new skills in fine furniture making.
